Touchstone Crystal Review (2026): No Longer Swarovski's, and Is It Still Worth Joining?

For years, the pitch was simple: "Touchstone Crystal by Swarovski." A famous crystal brand, sold at home parties by people you know. That last part is still true. The first part changed in 2026.

So is Touchstone Crystal still worth joining? This review covers who owns it now, what the jewelry is made of, how Brand Partners get paid, what it costs to start, and the monthly fee people tend to forget.

Quick answer: Touchstone Crystal is no longer a Swarovski company. Tocara Group bought it, as Direct Selling News reported on April 1, 2026. The jewelry still uses Swarovski crystals, per the company, and Brand Partners earn 25% to 40% commission, with a $14 monthly website fee.

I've been inside 8 network marketing companies since 2004, and I always start with the company's own words. For this review I read touchstonecrystal.com, its join and About pages, its terms and conditions, the acquisition coverage, its BBB profile, and its public social media profiles. You can browse every company I've reviewed on one page.

Here's what I found.

Is Touchstone Crystal Still Owned by Swarovski?

No. On April 1, 2026, Direct Selling News reported that Tocara Group acquired Touchstone Crystal, "the US-based direct selling branch of Swarovski."

Tocara's founder and CEO, Randall Markus, said, "We are thrilled to welcome Touchstone Crystal into the Tocara family." Swarovski said the move "supports Swarovski's continued focus and reinforces our core areas of strength."

Touchstone's own website now has an "About Tocara" page that says "the Tocara jewelry family has expanded to include Touchstone Crystal." Tocara started in 2008 in Old Montreal, Quebec, per that page.

So if a Brand Partner still says "by Swarovski," that's out of date. You can compare its status with other companies in the full MLM company directory.

How old is it? Sources differ, so I'll give you what each says. A 2011 Direct Selling News profile says it was launched by Dan Cohen, then Swarovski's North American president. Its BBB profile lists a business start date of March 2006.

Is Touchstone Crystal Real Swarovski?

The crystals are, according to the company. Its About page says every piece "is designed with first-quality Swarovski crystals."

Here's what the company says the jewelry is made of:

  • Base metal: brass or white metal.
  • Plating: rhodium, palladium, gold (up to 18-karat), or antiqued tones.
  • Free from: nickel, lead and cadmium.

So it's Swarovski crystal set in Touchstone's own plated designs. It isn't the same jewelry you'd buy in a Swarovski store, and it's sold only through Brand Partners.

Is Touchstone Crystal an MLM?

Yes. Brand Partners earn commission on their own sales, and the top commission rate is for Leaders with three or more team members. New Brand Partners are told their "Sponsor or Leader" is their first resource, which is the usual network marketing setup.

Is it a pyramid scheme? I don't use that label for a company selling real products to real customers, and Touchstone does. The structure is a party plan, with the jewelry shipped straight to your customers.

How Touchstone Crystal Brand Partners Get Paid

This is one of the clearest pay summaries I've seen on a join page:

LevelCommission
New Brand Partner25%, from your very first day
$1,800 or more in sales in a month30%
Leader with 3 or more team members40% (additional requirements apply)

Commissions are paid weekly. The company adds: "Not a representation of what you will or may earn. There is no guarantee that a Brand Partner will earn any income."

The join page says average incomes are in its Income Disclosure Statement. The document linked from the site footer when I checked was titled "2022 U.S. Income Disclosure Statement," so it may not reflect the new owner yet. I don't quote income figures in my reviews, but read it before you join.

What It Costs to Start

ItemCost
Limited-time startAs little as $14 (jewelry not included)
Starter KitsFour options, starting with a $99 Core Kit
Every optionPlus shipping and a $14 monthly website fee

Two more things worth knowing:

  • Your discount. New Brand Partners can earn free jewelry and a 70% discount. After that, you need $500 in sales per month to keep 50% off.
  • No inventory. You don't stock or deliver jewelry. You show it at parties, and the company ships it to your customers.

That $14 monthly fee is the one people forget. It adds up to $168 a year whether you sell or not.

Instagram is active, with a post the day before I checked. YouTube had been quiet for nine months, and TikTok has plenty of videos but a small following.

The Good: What Touchstone Crystal Gets Right

  • Clear pay rates. 25%, 30% and 40%, printed right on the join page.
  • A cheap way in. You can start for $14, or pick a kit from $99.
  • No inventory. The company ships to your customers.
  • Real Swarovski crystals, according to the company, with plain answers about the metals.
  • A clean BBB rating. A+, though not BBB Accredited.

The Concerns: What You Need to Know

  • The Swarovski name is gone. It's owned by Tocara now, and old "by Swarovski" marketing is out of date.
  • The monthly fee. $14 a month adds up to $168 a year, even in months you don't sell.
  • The discount has a target. Keeping 50% off takes $500 in sales every month.
  • The income disclosure is dated. The one linked on the site was titled 2022 when I checked.
  • The 40% rate takes a team. The top commission requires three or more team members plus other Leader requirements.

On the legal side, a search of federal court dockets on October 14, 2026 found no case with "Touchstone Crystal" in the case name. I couldn't get the FTC's own website search to answer reliably that day, so I'm not making a claim about regulators either way.

Touchstone Crystal vs Other Accessory Companies

If you like selling something people wear, compare Touchstone Crystal with my Color Street review and Damsel in Defense. If what draws you is a low start, look at Scout & Cellar's $49 kit and Stampin' Up!'s $100 kit. Compare them on what you keep on a sale, what it costs every month, and what you have to sell to keep your discount.

My Verdict: Is Touchstone Crystal Worth It in 2026?

One More Thing...

Jewelry sells itself when people see it on someone. That's why the party plan works. And it's also why it works online, where you can show a piece being worn to people you've never met.

When you learn to share what you love in a way that reaches the right people, you stop waiting for the next party on the calendar. And that skill works with any product, under any owner.

That's what The Sponsoring System teaches. It's a free email series where I share the digital marketing that actually works for networkers. If you want it, start the free series here.
