Unicity Review (2026): Feel Great, Balance and the Business Opportunity

Unicity's Balance drink mix gets a lot of attention online, and a lot of people searching for it are really asking a different question: is the company behind it legit, and should I sell it?

This Unicity review covers what Unicity sells and what it costs, who runs it, how distributors get paid, and what the company's own income numbers say.

Quick answer: Unicity is a real, long-running company based in Orem, Utah, with roots in the Rexall pharmacy brand. Its Feel Great pack costs $235 a month on subscription. It's a multi-level business, and you need to buy about $125 of product a month to earn commissions. Its own 2024 numbers show Managers, the first title in its income table, averaged $2,074 for the year before expenses.

I've been inside 8 network marketing companies since 2004, and I always start with the company's own words. For this review I read unicity.com, the US store, Unicity's 2024 Annual Income Statistics, its 2023 distributor guide, the BBB profile and the company's public social media, all on October 14, 2026. You can browse every company I've reviewed on one page.

Here's what I found.

What Is Unicity?

Unicity International is a direct selling company that sells nutrition and wellness products. You can also find it in the full directory of MLM companies.

YearWhat Unicity's own history page says
1903Rexall founded as a US pharmacy
1990Bios Life is born (later named "Balance")
2001Rexall Showcase International and Enrich International unify to form Unicity
2006Stewart Hughes named CEO
Today"more than 400 products sold in 60+ countries"

Its newest company news is about counterfeits. On September 2, 2026, Unicity announced a crackdown on counterfeit operations selling fake versions of its products. That's worth knowing if you ever see Unicity products cheap on a marketplace.

Who Runs Unicity?

Stewart Hughes is Chairman and CEO. Unicity says he "began as a successful Distributor" and left his distributorship to become CEO in 2006. Daniel Hughes is President and COO.

A CEO who came up as a distributor is a good sign. He knows the field side of the business.

Unicity Products and Prices

Unicity's US store centers on its Feel Great program. Here's what it cost on October 14, 2026.

ProductWhat Unicity says it isUS price
Feel GreatTwo boxes of Unimate and one box of Balance$235 a month on subscription; 90-day money-back guarantee
Balance"a proprietary fiber matrix," sold in orange and mixed berry$79 for a one-month supply
UnimateA yerba mate drink with a proprietary extract; regular and decaf flavors$115 for a one-month supply

Unicity makes claims about cravings, carbs and cholesterol for these products. Those are the company's claims, not mine. If you're thinking about using them for a health reason, talk to your doctor first.

Is Unicity an MLM?

Yes. Unicity has two ways to sign up. Members join free for discount product pricing. Distributors earn commissions when people they refer buy products, and the higher titles depend on building a team.

That team-building part is what makes it multi-level. Unicity's 2023 guide is honest about why most people sign up: "A large majority of people sign up as Unicity Distributors just to get the product discount."

How Unicity Distributors Get Paid

Unicity's 2023 guide, "How you can make a Unicity Distributorship work for you," lays out the basics:

  • Low start. There's no required purchase "except a Starter Kit (approximately $40)."
  • A monthly purchase to earn. "To be eligible to earn commissions on sales to people you refer to Unicity, you must purchase approximately $125 of Unicity products that month."
  • Two ways to earn. Buy at a discount ("usually around 30% below retail price") and resell, or earn commissions when people you refer order from the company.
  • Paid on sales, not sign-ups. "You earn money only when people you refer buy Unicity products, not when they just sign up as Unicity Distributors."

That last line matters. A plan that pays on sales, not enrollments, is the right kind.

What Unicity Distributors Really Earn

Unicity publishes numbers in two places.

The 2023 guide (2022 figures): "Around 42% of Unicity Distributors in the U.S. earned these commissions in 2022." Of those who earned:

  • The average was $4,626.
  • Half made more than $130.
  • 10% made more than $3,800.
  • 1% made more than $92,700.

So more than half of US Distributors earned no commissions that year, and half of the ones who did earned $130 or less.

The 2024 Annual Income Statistics: these cover US and Canadian Distributors who met the activity requirements for their title in any six months of 2024. The figures are gross, before expenses.

TitleAverage annual incomeLowHigh
Manager$2,074$615$8,739
Sr. Manager$6,206$1,014$65,762
Exec. Manager$14,405$3,523$70,350
Director$26,355$5,489$148,930

Unicity also says "About 1 out of 13 customers choose to build a Unicity business," and that most begin by building "a base of 10 or more customers, leading to the Manager title." To its credit, the statement also tells Distributors to keep their main job "until their Unicity earnings significantly exceed it."

The Good: What Unicity Gets Right

  • Real history. Roots in Rexall and Bios Life going back to 1990.
  • Low cost to start. A Starter Kit of about $40.
  • Pays on sales. Not on sign-ups, in Unicity's own words.
  • Published numbers. Both a plain-English 2023 guide and detailed 2024 statistics.
  • Money-back guarantees. 90 days on Feel Great and Balance.
  • Active brand accounts. Over 50K Instagram followers and fresh YouTube videos.

The Concerns: What You Need to Know

  • The monthly purchase. About $125 a month to stay eligible for commissions. That's $1,500 a year before you earn anything.
  • Most earn little or nothing. Fewer than half of US Distributors earned commissions in 2022, and the median earner made about $130.
  • An F from the BBB. Unicity isn't BBB accredited, and BBB rates it F, citing "Failure to respond to 2 complaint(s)" out of 12 filed. That's fixable, but it's a bad look.
  • Counterfeits. Unicity's own release says fake products are out there.

I didn't find a US court ruling or regulator action against Unicity that I could read in a primary record, so I'm not making a claim either way.

Product Alternatives

If you like the idea of a fiber drink or a yerba mate habit without a subscription, here's what else is out there. These aren't the same formulas, and this isn't medical advice.

Unicity vs Other Wellness Network Marketing Companies

If you're comparing wellness companies, read my Plexus review, my Isagenix review and my Herbalife review. Compare them on the monthly purchase you need to earn, the share of people who earn anything, and what the typical earner actually makes.

My Verdict: Is Unicity Worth It in 2026?

One More Thing...

Unicity says most Managers start by building a base of 10 or more customers. That's the whole game: customers first.

The hard part is finding those customers without wearing out your friends and family. When you learn to reach people online with useful content, they come to you. And that skill works with any company.
