SeneGence Review (2026): LipSense, the Join Kits and the Pay

If someone has asked you to try LipSense, or to sell it, you are probably wondering what SeneGence looks like today. It has been around for more than 25 years, so I wanted to see what joining actually involves in 2026.

This SeneGence review covers what it sells, what it costs to join, how Distributors get paid, and a 2025 decision about earnings claims that every prospect should know about.

Quick answer: SeneGence is an active, founder-led cosmetics company that introduced LipSense in 1999. In October 2026 you could join for $65 with a digital start, or up to $360 with its biggest kit, and buy at 20 to 50% off retail. In 2025, the industry's watchdog asked it to fix earnings claims, and it removed most of them.

I've been inside 8 network marketing companies since 2004, and I start every review with the company's own words. For SeneGence, I read its About, founder and enrollment pages, its product catalog, its public social profiles and the 2025 industry decision. You can browse every company I've reviewed on one page.

Here's what I found.

What Is SeneGence?

SeneGence sells makeup and skin care through independent Distributors. It's best known for LipSense, which its About page calls "the iconic, long-lasting liquid lipstick."

Its About page promotes a "25 Year Legacy," and says it follows EU cosmetic standards, which it describes as "the highest global standard for clean beauty, banning over 1,450 harmful ingredients." That's the company's own description, not something I've tested.

Who's Behind SeneGence?

SeneGence is still led by its founder. Joni Rogers-Kante is its Founder, CEO and Chairwoman, according to its founder page. The same page names her husband, Ben Kante, as Chief Strategy Officer and her son Alan as Chief Experience Officer.

She also founded the Make Sense Foundation in 2002. The company says its community has given "$60,000 in scholarships in the last 3 years" through it.

A founder who is still running the company decades later is a real sign of stability in direct selling.

What SeneGence Sells

SeneGence sells lip color, makeup and skin care. A few prices from senegence.com on October 14, 2026:

  • LipSense Long-Lasting Liquid Lip Color: $32
  • Evening Moisturizer: $80
  • NeoTight Rejuvenating Anti-Wrinkle Serum: $105

Distributors pay less. I haven't tested the products, and I'm not going to make claims about wear time or skin results.

How Much Does It Cost to Join SeneGence?

Its enrollment page listed four ways to start on October 14, 2026:

OptionPriceWho it's for, per SeneGence
Digital Start$65Digital tools, product education and shareable content
Lips Kit$95 + $65 enrollment"the influencer"
Beauty Kit$195 + $65 enrollment"the team builder"
Beauty Pro Kit$295 + $65 enrollment"ambitious beauty entrepreneurs"

So the real range is $65 to $360. The page also says the "$0 activation offer ends September 30, 2026. Standard account activation fees resume October 1, 2026." Check the current terms when you join.

Is SeneGence an MLM? How Distributors Get Paid

Yes. SeneGence calls its sellers Distributors and invites you to join as an "Affiliate, Influencer, Team Builder, or Beauty Entrepreneur." According to the enrollment page, Distributors get:

  • 20 to 50% off suggested retail prices.
  • A portion of a Revenue Share Bonus Pool, "based on the program's qualifying criteria and available revenue," for qualified US Distributors.
  • Bonus programs, recognition and incentive travel.

Its Beauty Kit is pitched at "the team builder ready to grow their customer base & help others succeed," with resources for "leadership, and team development." That team side is the multi-level part.

What I couldn't find is an income disclosure. The enrollment page doesn't link to one, and none of the SeneGence pages I read mentioned one. That's a gap. Before you join, ask your sponsor for the company's income disclosure statement in writing.

The 2025 DSSRC Earnings-Claims Decision

On May 6, 2025, the Direct Selling Self-Regulatory Council (DSSRC), the industry's own watchdog, recommended that SeneGence "modify or discontinue earnings claims made by Senegence and its salesforce members."

Here's how SeneGence responded, per the council:

  • It "did not attempt to support the earnings claims" and moved quickly to remove them.
  • Four of the six claims the council flagged were removed.
  • One Facebook post by salesforce members was changed, but the council asked for more changes.
  • One LinkedIn post came from an inactive salesforce member SeneGence couldn't reach, so the council recommended it ask LinkedIn to remove it.

The company didn't defend the claims and fixed most of them fast. But it tells you something about the culture: income claims were circulating, so be skeptical of any you see in a recruiting post.

What SeneGence's Social Media Shows Right Now

These numbers were read from each public profile on October 14, 2026, using the accounts its website links to.

SeneGence is clearly still active and putting out content its Distributors can share.

The Good: What SeneGence Gets Right

  • Founder-led. Joni Rogers-Kante still runs it, 25-plus years in.
  • A low-cost way in. $65 for a digital start.
  • A real discount. 20 to 50% off retail for Distributors.
  • Fixed most flagged claims. It removed four of six without a fight.
  • Active social. 83,000 Instagram followers and a post two days before I checked.

The Concerns: What You Need to Know

  • No income disclosure found. Nothing to set expectations against.
  • Earnings claims were an issue. The industry watchdog had to step in in 2025.
  • Premium product prices. $32 for a lip color and $105 for a serum.
  • Kit costs add up. The biggest kit plus enrollment is $360.

Product Alternatives

If you like SeneGence products but don't want to join, here's what else is out there. These are price comparisons, not claims that they perform the same.

My Verdict: Is SeneGence Worth It in 2026?

One More Thing...

LipSense took off because people saw it on their friends, in real photos and videos, all over social media. That's still the most powerful way to sell anything.

When you learn to share your own content with people who are already interested, instead of only your friends list, your business stops depending on who you know. And that skill works with any company, now or later.
