Morinda Review (2026): What Happened to Tahitian Noni?

If you were in network marketing in the late 1990s or 2000s, you remember Tahitian Noni. It was everywhere: the dark bottles, the opportunity meetings, the stories about a fruit from French Polynesia.
So what happened to the company behind it? This Morinda review covers where Morinda came from, its parent company's 2022 bankruptcy filing, where the brand lives now, and what it means if you built a business on it.
Quick answer: Morinda was a Utah direct selling company founded in 1996 that sold Tahitian Noni juice. By 2022 it was part of NewAge, Inc., and on August 30, 2022, NewAge, Morinda, Inc. and two other subsidiaries filed for Chapter 11. In February 2023 the Morinda brand became part of a new company, Partner.Co, and today morinda.com redirects there.
I've been inside 8 network marketing companies since 2004, and I always start with primary sources. For Morinda, I read NewAge's own bankruptcy announcement, followed morinda.com to where it lands today, read Partner.Co's own pages and the FTC's 2021 notice list, and pulled the social media numbers from the public profiles. You can browse every company I've reviewed on one page.
Here's what I found.
Is Morinda Still in Business?
Not as its own company. When I checked on October 14, 2026, morinda.com redirected to partner.co, the company that now sells the Tahitian Noni brand.
Morinda's old YouTube channel tells the same story. It's been renamed "Noni by NewAge," and its last upload was on May 8, 2020. You can see Morinda's status next to other companies in the full MLM company directory.
What Was Morinda?
| Detail | Info |
|---|---|
| Founded | July 1, 1996 |
| Home | American Fork, Utah |
| Also known as | Tahitian Noni International, Morinda Bioactives |
| Best-known product | Tahitian Noni juice |
| Later parent | NewAge, Inc. |
| Status | Brand now part of Partner.Co |
According to Wikipedia, Morinda's key people included Kerry O. Asay, John Wadsworth, Kelly Olsen, Kim Asay and Stephen Story. It was a multi-level marketing company, and its signature product was a juice made from the noni fruit.
What Is Tahitian Noni Juice?
According to Wikipedia, Tahitian Noni juice is a blend of noni fruit puree (89%) with grape and blueberry juice concentrates (11%). Wikipedia also notes that the European Commission's Scientific Committee on Food found its nutritional content comparable to typical fruit juices.
Today Partner.Co sells it as Tahitian Noni ORIGINAL, listed at $70.95, or $60.00 on subscription, when I checked. Partner.Co's product page makes a number of health claims for it. I'm not repeating them, because I haven't tested the product and health claims for a juice aren't something I'll pass along. If you're considering it for a health reason, talk to your doctor.
The 2022 Chapter 11 Filing
By 2022, Morinda was part of NewAge, Inc., a Utah-based company. On August 30, 2022, according to NewAge's own announcement, "the Company and certain of its subsidiaries, Ariix LLC, Morinda Holdings, Inc., and Morinda, Inc." each filed a voluntary petition for relief under Chapter 11 in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.
NewAge said the filing was "to facilitate a value-maximizing sale process," and that it had secured a commitment for $16.0 million in "debtor in possession" financing to keep operating through the sale.
A Chapter 11 filing isn't the same as a company vanishing overnight. It's a court-supervised process, and in this case the stated goal was a sale. About six months later, the Morinda brand turned up inside a new company. Other household names in direct selling have gone through bankruptcy too, including Tupperware's 2024 bankruptcy.
Partner.Co: Where the Brand Went
According to Direct Selling News, Partner.Co "officially launched in February 2023 as a brand-new company," combining "established brands and leaders from four companies, ARIIX, LIMU, Morinda and Zennoa." At launch, Darren Zobrist was CEO and John Wadsworth was Chief Brand Partner Officer.
Today, Partner.Co's own site lists both men as Co-Founders and Co-CEOs, with an address in Draper, Utah. Here's what the company says about itself:
- "174+ Million Bottles Sold" of Tahitian Noni ORIGINAL.
- 50+ countries.
- "8 Ways to Get Paid as a Brand Partner."
- "Get paid weekly with the No. 1 voted compensation plan in the industry." The asterisk explains it: "3x voted best Compensation Plan in the industry in a poll by Business For Home."
Brand Partners, in Partner.Co's words, "get paid commission for every product referral," with the chance "to earn bonuses and even dream vacations." I couldn't find a published income disclosure statement in what I read, so ask for one before you join.
Is Morinda (Partner.Co) an MLM?
Yes. Morinda was a multi-level marketing company, and Partner.Co continues the model with Brand Partners, commissions and bonuses under its "8 Ways to Get Paid" plan.
Is it a pyramid scheme? From the record, Morinda sold a real product for decades, and Partner.Co says over 174 million bottles of Tahitian Noni have been sold. I didn't find any court ruling calling it one.
The FTC's 2021 Notice
"Morinda," "NewAge" and "Noni by NewAge" all appear on the FTC's October 2021 list of companies sent a Notice of Penalty Offenses about money-making claims. The FTC sent that notice to more than a thousand companies at once, and the list itself says: "The fact that a company is on this list is NOT an indication that it has done anything wrong."
The practical takeaway: whatever you sell, keep income promises and health claims out of your posts.
What the Social Media Shows Right Now
These numbers were read from each public profile on October 14, 2026.
| Platform | Handle | Followers | Posts | Last post |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| YouTube (old Morinda channel) | @Morinda, now "Noni by NewAge" | 1.43K subscribers | 181 videos | May 8, 2020 |

| TikTok (Partner.Co) | @partnercoglobal | 986 | 142 videos | not shown |
The old Morinda channel went quiet in 2020. Partner.Co's YouTube is where the brand lives now, with a fresh upload in September 2026.
If You Were in Morinda
If you built a Tahitian Noni business, you joined a company that was around for more than 25 years and sold a product people really bought. A parent company going through Chapter 11 isn't a reflection on you.
What you built is still yours: your customer relationships, your network, and what you learned about selling. If you're still active through Partner.Co, here's what I'd ask:
- What happened to my account, rank and team when Morinda moved into Partner.Co?
- What's the current compensation plan, and is there an income disclosure statement?
- Which products can I sell, and how am I allowed to describe them?
Morinda isn't the only company with a story like this. My Kyani review covers another supplement company that was bought, and the rise and fall of ViSalus shows how fast a hot company can cool.
The Good
- A long run. Morinda sold Tahitian Noni from 1996 into the 2020s.
- The brand survived. Tahitian Noni is still sold, through Partner.Co.
- Clear about the poll. Partner.Co's "No. 1" claim tells you it comes from a Business For Home poll.
The Concerns
- Morinda itself is gone as an independent company. It went through Chapter 11 in 2022 and its site now points to Partner.Co.
- A new company, a new plan. Anyone who was in Morinda is now in Partner.Co's plan, not Morinda's.
- No income disclosure I could find in what I read.
- Health claims on the product page. If you sell it, describe it only the way approved materials allow.
Product Alternatives
If you like noni juice and just want to drink it, you don't need to join anything. Here's how Partner.Co's price compares with noni juices on Amazon. I'm not making any health claim for noni, from any brand. The Amazon prices are the buy-box prices each listing showed on October 14, 2026, when each was in stock. Amazon prices change, so check each listing.
| What you want | Partner.Co product and price | Alternative (Amazon price, Oct 14, 2026) | Why it's worth a look |
|---|---|---|---|
| Noni juice | Tahitian Noni ORIGINAL, $70.95 ($60.00 on subscription) | Virgin Noni Juice, 32 oz glass bottle ($42.00) | Hawaiian noni juice in a single 32 oz glass bottle |
| A bigger supply | Tahitian Noni ORIGINAL, $70.95 | Hawaiian Pure Noni juice, two 32 oz bottles ($81.94) | Two 32 oz bottles of Hawaiian noni juice |
The difference: Tahitian Noni ORIGINAL is a blend with grape and blueberry, while these are noni juices on their own. Read each label and choose what you'd actually drink.
My Verdict: What Morinda Means for You in 2026
One More Thing...
Tahitian Noni grew the old way: meetings, samples and word of mouth. That worked in its day. What carries a network marketer through a company change, a bankruptcy or a brand move is something different: an audience that follows you, not the company.
When people know you, trust you and find you online, you keep that no matter what happens to the company. And that skill works with any product, now or later.
That's what The Sponsoring System teaches. It's a free email series where I share the digital marketing that actually works for networkers. If you want it, start the free series here.
