Healy Review (2026): What the FDA Cleared and What It Did Not

Healy is a small wearable microcurrent device with a long menu of frequency programs. It's sold through members, and the pitch goes well beyond pain relief.

So what is it really, and is the business worth joining in 2026? This Healy review covers what the FDA actually cleared, what the device and its add-ons cost, what members earn according to Healy's own disclosure, and the regulator record in three countries.

Quick answer: Healy is a wellness device company launched in 2019. The FDA cleared the Healy only as an over-the-counter TENS device for pain relief; the company itself says its frequency programs "are not medical applications." Devices cost $799 to $4,599 before add-ons, and Healy's 2024 US income disclosure shows members averaged $757.75 for the year, before expenses.

I've been inside 8 network marketing companies since 2004, and I always start with the company's own words. For this review I read Healy's US shop, its terms, its income disclosure, the FDA's clearance record, a self-regulatory case report, an Australian regulator's release and a German consumer center's warning. You can browse every company I've reviewed on one page.

Here's what I found.

Is Healy Still in Business?

Yes. In October 2026, Healy's US shop was selling devices with a "© 2026 Healy World Co." footer, and it was promoting a new model: "A new generation is coming on November 2nd," for the Healy 3.

The Direct Selling Association lists Healy World Co. of Orlando, Florida as a member since March 27, 2026, founded in 2019. You can compare it with other companies in the full MLM company directory.

Who's Behind Healy?

Healy's About page names Christian Halper as "the owner, founder and CEO of Healy World," and says he "founded Healy World with Marcus Schmieke." The FDA record shows the 2019 clearance went to TimeWaver Production GmbH, a German company.

Healy describes itself in big numbers: "360.000 Empowered Individuals," a presence in "60+ Countries," and "190 Employees." Those are the company's own figures.

What the FDA Cleared and What It Did Not

This is the most important part of any Healy review, because the device is often talked about as if it were FDA approved for much more than it is.

Here's what the record shows. On November 22, 2019, the FDA found the Healy "substantially equivalent" to devices already on the market, under 510(k) number K191075. The applicant was TimeWaver Production GmbH. It's classified under 21 CFR 882.5890, the rule for TENS devices used for pain relief, and cleared for over-the-counter use.

The cleared use, in the FDA document's words, is "temporary relief of pain associated with sore and aching muscles in the shoulder, waist, back, arms and legs due to strain from exercise or normal household work activities and for the symptomatic relief and management of chronic, intractable pain and relief of pain associated with arthritis."

That's it. Clearance is not approval, and it doesn't cover sleep, mood, energy or anything else.

Healy says the same thing on its own pages:

  • "Healy is a microcurrent medical device that has been cleared by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration only for local relief of acute, chronic, and arthritis pain and muscle soreness due to overexertion."
  • "The Individualized Microcurrent Frequency (IMF) programs of the Healy device are not medical applications."
  • About its wellbeing surveys: "They have not been confirmed by independent studies."

So does the Healy work? As a TENS unit for pain, it's cleared to do what TENS units do. For the frequency programs that make up most of the pitch, the company's own answer is that they aren't medical and haven't been independently confirmed.

What Healy Costs

These are the US shop prices in October 2026:

ItemPrice
Healy device, entry editionfrom $799
Second editionfrom $2,549
Third editionfrom $4,049
Top editionfrom $4,599
Zero Hertz Sleep Maskfrom $199
App modules (monthly)$7.30 to $35.50 a month
App modules (one time)$41 to $1,070

The subscriptions matter. Healy's terms say a paid subscription that isn't canceled with one month's notice before the end of the month "IS AUTOMATICALLY RENEWED INDEFINITELY." If you buy, put a reminder in your calendar.

Is Healy an MLM?

Yes. Healy's income disclosure says members "only earn compensation when products, services or subscriptions are successfully referred to via the HEALY WORLD shop," and that they "do not earn compensation for recruiting or sponsoring other IHWM." The shop's business pages describe an "Innovative multilevel compensation model," and the disclosure lists ranks from Builder up to Executive President.

Two things work in members' favor: "No product purchase is required to become an IHWM," and pay is tied to sales, not sign-ups. Healy also sells optional Business Suite bundles for members at $70.50, $101 and $203 a month.

What Healy Members Actually Earn

Healy's US income disclosure covers 2024 and members "that achieved one of the compensation levels." Here are the main rows:

Executive Vice President20.05%$42,656.12

I left out a few middle ranks to keep the table short. The full disclosure is on Healy's US site.

What it means: about 81% of members on this list (3,604 of 4,438, my math) were in ranks that averaged $750 or less for the whole year. Some ranks show negative earnings at the bottom of their range. And Healy notes that "Figures do not include any business expenses," so the cost of a $799 to $4,599 device and any subscriptions isn't counted.

The Regulator and Self-Regulatory Record

People search "is Healy a scam." I don't use that word for a company with a real product and an FDA clearance. But here's the record I could verify from the original sources.

United States, self-regulation (2023 and 2024). The Direct Selling Self-Regulatory Council (DSSRC), run by BBB National Programs, looked at Healy members' social media posts twice. In October 2023, Healy removed six of 11 posts with product claims. In Case #160-2024, DSSRC reported that "The Company did not attempt to substantiate the claims" and instead had them removed: eight of 11 product posts and two of three earnings posts. Healy "confirmed that those individuals who failed to comply ... have had their memberships terminated."

Australia (2022). On March 3, 2022, Australia's Therapeutic Goods Administration said it issued two infringement notices totaling $26,640 (Australian dollars) to Healy World Australia Pty Ltd for "alleged unlawful advertising of a TENS device." The TGA alleged the company advertised the device for a purpose outside its listing, with "references to depression, anxiety and associated sleep disturbances." These were allegations; an infringement notice isn't a court finding.

Germany (2024). Germany's consumer centers (Verbraucherzentralen) published a warning about Healy in March 2024, after consumers reported that independent sellers had recommended the device for treating sick children.

I couldn't run a US federal docket search for this review (the search service was rate-limited), so I'm making no claim either way about US lawsuits.

The Good: What Healy Gets Right

  • An honest disclaimer. Healy says plainly what the FDA cleared and that its frequency programs "are not medical applications."
  • A real FDA clearance for TENS pain relief.
  • No purchase required to join, and no pay for recruiting.
  • A published income disclosure with full ranks and ranges.
  • It acted on bad posts. Members who wouldn't remove claims were terminated, per the 2024 case report.
  • BBB A+. Its BBB profile shows an A+ rating (not accredited).

The Concerns: What You Need to Know

  • The pitch outruns the clearance. The FDA cleared pain relief. The marketing talks about much more.
  • It's expensive. $799 to $4,599 for the device, plus modules and subscriptions.
  • Subscriptions renew indefinitely unless you cancel with a month's notice.
  • Low typical earnings. $757.75 average in 2024, before expenses, among members who reached a level.
  • Scrutiny in three countries. The US self-regulatory cases, the Australian infringement notices and the German consumer centers' warning.

Product Alternatives

If what you want is the thing the FDA actually cleared, TENS pain relief, you don't need a $799 device.

What you wantHealy product and priceAlternativeWhy consider it
TENS pain relief (the cleared use)Healy, entry edition, from $799TENS 7000 Digital TENS Unit$38.88; a standard TENS unit, the same type of device the clearance covers
A two-channel TENS with more modesHealy, higher editions, from $4,049AUVON Dual Channel TENS Unit, 20 modes$23.99; two channels and 20 modes
Better sleep in a dark roomZero Hertz Sleep Mask, from $199Manta Original Sleep Mask$39.00; a plain blackout mask, no electronics

The Amazon prices are the buy-box prices on each listing as of October 14, 2026, and all three were in stock. Prices change, so check before you buy. These units don't run Healy's frequency programs; they match the use the FDA cleared. Ask your doctor before using any TENS device.

Healy vs Other Wellness Device Companies

If you're looking at wellness devices sold through members, read my OlyLife review too. Compare any device company on the same three things: what the regulator actually cleared, what the device costs next to a store-bought version, and what members earn.

My Verdict: Is Healy Worth It in 2026?

One More Thing...

Healy members are told to share only claims "contained in company materials meant for public distribution." That's the right rule, and it's also why so many members struggle: the honest version of the pitch is harder to sell to friends.

When you learn to reach people online who are already looking for what you offer, you don't need to overpromise. And that skill works with any product.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Healy FDA approved?

No. The FDA cleared the Healy in 2019 (510(k) K191075) as an over-the-counter TENS device for temporary relief of muscle pain, chronic pain and arthritis pain. Clearance is not approval, and it covers only that pain-relief use. Healy says its frequency programs "are not medical applications."

How much does a Healy device cost?

On Healy's US shop in October 2026, the four device editions started at $799, $2,549, $4,049 and $4,599. Many programs and modules are extra, from $7.30 to $35.50 a month or $41 to $1,070 one time.

Yes. Members earn on products, services and subscriptions referred through the Healy shop, the shop describes a "multilevel compensation model," and the income disclosure lists ranks from Builder up to Executive President.

Does the Healy device work?

The FDA cleared it as a TENS device for pain relief. For everything else, Healy's own pages say its frequency programs "are not medical applications" and that its wellbeing surveys "have not been confirmed by independent studies."

How much do Healy members make?

Healy's 2024 US income disclosure shows 4,438 members who reached a compensation level earned an average of $757.75 for the year, before expenses. About 81% were in ranks that averaged $750 or less.
