Phyzix Energy is the name of the private label brand created and manufactured by Bonvera, a new e-commerce retailer that has a unique take on business. I’ve just had the opportunity to try these products, and decided to write up a review about the products, so here we go!

Phyzix Energy is trademarked produced and shipped through All Brands Distribution, LLC and currently has 2 different types of products available in 2 flavors each.

Phyzix Energy Drinks

phyzix-energy-drinksPhyzix Energy drinks come in 2 flavors – Acai Berry and Tropical. Both are low carb, all natural energy drinks that derive both their flavor and “kick” from natural sources. The flavor comes from fruit concentrates, and the caffeine comes from ingredients such as green tea extract and guarana seed extract with the goal of giving you a pick-me-up without the more-severe drop-off of other popular energy drinks.

Ingredients

The Acai Berry flavor weighs in at only 90 calories and 23 carbs while the Tropical flavor weighs in at 70 calories and 28 carbs.

Tropical drink ingredients include: carbonated water, crystalline fructose, erythritol, white grape juice concentrate, orange juice concentrate, coconut water concentrate, citric acid, natural flavors, stevia leaf extract.

Aci Berry ingredients include: carbonated water, crystalline fructose, pomegranate juice concentrate, organic acai juice concentrate, malic acid, and natural flavors.

(These two drinks are currently not available on the Bonvera site since the company is brand new and the supply has been limited. However, they should be available for purchase soon.)

Yeah but How Do They Taste?

To me, the energy drink flavors are light and fruity and the stevia leaf used adds a much more subtle sweet rather than the potent hit of sugar in more common energy drinks like Monster or Rockstar.

The aftertaste is more mild than that of Red Bull also. Overall, sipping one of the Phyzix drinks feels healthier than slamming one of the sugar-overloaded ones. The caffiene pick up is obviously there, but I didn’t experience the same I-don’t-feel-so-good feeling in my stomach after drinking it like I have with other popular energy drinks.

Phyzix Protein Wafers

phyzix-protein-barsBranded as “Declicious on-the-go energy” and “Better-for-you snacking and fast recovery” bars, these crème filled wafers also come in two flavors: “Milk Chocolate” and “French Vanilla Greek Yogurt & Peanut Butter” (that last one is a bit long).

These bars currently can only be purchased from Bonvera here

Phyzix Chocolate Protein Wafers

Phyzix Vanilla Protein Wafers

Ingredients

Both flavors of bars have 200 calories and 10g-11g of carbs.

Milk Chocolate ingredients include: Milk chocolate coating (sugar, palm kernel oil, whey protein concentrate (milk), cocoa powder, soy lecithin (an emulsifier), and vanilla.), whey protein isolate, palm oil, wheat flour, canola oil, chocolate liquor, powdered sugar, soy lecithin, cocoa powder, salt, sodium bicarbonate, and sucralose.

French Vanilla Greek Yogurt, & Peanut Butter ingredients include: Yogurt coating sugar, palm kernel & palm oils, whey protein concentrate, yogurt powder (cultured whey and nonfat milk), soy lecithin, vanillin) whey protein isolate, palm oil, wheat flour peanut butter, peanut extract, powdered sugar, soy lecithin, canola oil, salt, natural & artificial flavor, sodium bicarbonate, and sucralose.

So are they really any good?

Like the drinks, the wafers are also really light. They are tastey and make a great snack to grab on the go. They aren’t “protein bars” in the truest sense having only 12g of protein per bar, but are closer to meal replacement or snack bars. As far as healthy bars go, they are actually pretty good. Many such bars are overly dry, chewy, or bland. These bars are none of those.
