Dealing With Information Overload!

By now it’s common knowledge that the biggest issue that we network marketers deal with online is overwhelm. This is the single, biggest reason that most don’t make it in our industry online. I mean… where are we supposed to start!? Here are just a few of the many different pieces of the internet network marketing puzzle that we can play with:
- Blogging
- SEO
- Article Marketing
- Email marketing / Solo Ads
- List Building
- Affiliate Marketing
- Auto responders
- Copywriting
- Pay Per Click
- Video Marketing
- Video Conferencing
- 3 Way calling
- Banner Ads
- Forums / Blog Commenting
And most of these have 5-50 different components within each of them! Take Facebook for example. Facebook has 3 different types of ads that you can run, it has Facebook pages, personal pages, groups, events, and apps that we could play around with. Or if you take blogging as an example, there is the SEO component, plugins, hosting, finding a template, getting your blog in front of other people, RSS, and lots of other things involved.
And as if all of this wasn’t enough, there is literally a new product, program, technique, or trick that comes out EVERY WEEK that claims to be the next best thing. There are “authority blogs,” “inner circle memberships,” “mastery formulas,” and “lead generation systems” galore! How the heck are you supposed to know who to follow, what to buy, and which products will actually teach you what you need to know?
The solution is actually quite simple. I’ll put it into 3 simple steps for you:
- Pick one or two strategies that you want to master based on your situation. (If you have lots of money but no time, consider PPC or Solo Ads for example. If you have lots of time and no money, consider blogging and/or forums.)
- Find someone who is good at one or both of your selected strategies and imitate everything that they do, and buy their courses if they are on those strategies
- IGNORE EVERYTHING ELSE – this is by far the hardest one. When that email comes to your inbox with headlines like, “New strategy reveals how top earners make 5000% more per lead!!” but it doesn’t have anything to do with your strategy, just pass on by it.
